Sparkling white limestone cliffs above a sea that in good weather is really the color of sapphires, have drawn cliff-climbers to the Calanques for decades. Claiming to be the cradle of modern scalade, the area boasts cliffs that range n difficulty from 3 to 8, according o the rench system. The main equipped climbing ites are located in he Calanques of Les oudes, Marseilleveyre, Sormiou, Morgiou, uminy nd La Gardiole. Although the tourist ffice can advise you on how to find hese, a local guide makes more sense.
