A half-open, two-seater Seilbahn (gondola cable car), operates between the Niederwalddenkmal and Rüdesheim and a chair lift goes down to Assmannshausen. For adults, Euro 4 one way, Euro 6 roundtrip or combination ticket with the chairlift, children (five-18) and big dogs ride at half-price. Take the cable car from Rüdesheim to Niederwalddenkmal, and then a pleasant stroll parallel to the Rhine for the views and to see the castle ruins at Ehrnefels. Then take the chairlift down to Assmannshausen. From here, return to Rüdesheim by boat via Mäuseturm and Bingen. Combination tickets including cable car, chairlift and boat trip are on sale at Euro 9 for adults, half-price for children.
