Keeping in mind where we are, it is a short walk to Dobó Square. The square is marked by the statue of István Dobó, the hero of Eger’s stand against the Turks. The statue is by Alajos Strobl. Now over to Dobó ter 4-6 and the inescapably ornate Minorite Padua Saint Anal Church (1758-1771), one of the outstanding examples of the pomp of Baroque style in Hungary.
