While there’s a pleasant enough park alongside the Fortezza di Santa Barbara, it is far outclassed by the superb green areas in the vicinity: Giardino Puccini was created – along with the Villa di Scornio – in the first half of the 19th century in typical “romantic park” style. Today it serves as a popular green space for the inhabitants of Pistoia, just outside the city walls.
