Midway between Pienza and Montalcino, the Orcia Valley winds north from Monte Amiata through the territories of San Quirico d’Orcia, Castiglione d’Orcia and Radicofani. It’s a well-marked territory thanks to the newly-formed Parco Artistico Naturale e Culturale della Val d’Orcia. They have set up a comprehensive trail network that takes you along paved roads, winding trails and dirt tracks through the best of the valley’s vineyards, panoramic country streets, abbeys, parish churches and castles.
