Named for the ancient road that wine merchants traveled centuries ago, this osteria near the Piazza dei Signori is a favorite with locals for its reliably well-prepared traditional Vicentina dishes and good selection of local wines and grappa. The menu does change frequently to reflect the kitchen’s use of seasonal ingredients, but you’ll always find a few traditional dishes, including bigoli di ragu all’anatra (pasta with duck ragout) and baccalà alla vicentina (cod prepared Vicenza-style) on the menu. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and they occasionally host live musical events.
