The Water-Ski Museum/Hall of Fame, at 799 overlook Drive in Winter Haven, is crammed with exhibits dating to 1922 – includ-ing a pair of skis the sport’s founder, the late Ralph Samuelson, rode when he created the game on Minnesota’s Lake Pepin. In addition to memorabilia, the center has biographies and action photos of the 34 people enshrined in the hall, including pioneer barefoot skier Dick Pope, Jr., "Banana" George Blair, three-time world champion Willa Worthington Cook and jump queen Nancy Robertson.
