Stables are barn-like structures that house horses. Equestrian lovers tend to their horses, groom them, feed them and ride them in and around the stable. You can either rent a stable space at an equestrian farm, or build your own. Stables often offer horseback riding lessons, boarding for horses, camps, recreation events for kids and families, horseback riding clinics, team competitions, roping, trail rides and campfires. Whether you want to train on horseback, learn about horses, find out about equestrian trails in your area, host a cotillion at a stable and barn, or rent a small arena for games such as barrel racing, you can find what you need at your local stable. Have a family play day with riding lessons and boarding, camping, trails equestrian. You can find stables in your phone book or by searching online directories. In your search for a reputable stable, choose one that specializes in the exact type of service you need at a rate you can afford. For instance, if you are interested in stables that host birthday parties for small children, contact a large equine stable that specializes in events and parties. If you are interested in learning all about horses and their equipment, such as saddles and bridles, contact a stable that specializes in training and education. Get recommendations on stables from your local horse club or organization as well. In your quest for the best stable with the best services, activities and rental rates, shop around. Compare prices, activities, equipment, and the friendliness of staff.
