The Evangelische Stadtkirche (Protestant Church), was mostly destroyed in the war. Of note is its odd shape: it has two naves at a right angle allowing half of the church congregation to attend services without seeing the other half. The carved lectern (1140) came from the monastery in Alpirsbach and the Romanesque baptismal font is from the same era.
