Near Hausach, in the Gutach valley is the Schwarzwälder Freilichtmuseum Vogtsbauernhof (Black Forest Open Air Museum). It is one of the most popular destinations in the region. At its center is the large, original farmhouse of the Vogt farm, dating from 1570 and surrounded by 25 other buildings, mostly farmhouses moved here from other parts of the Black Forest. The traditional life of the region is demonstrated in the museums, with different themes covered in each building.
