The top attraction in Friedrichshafen is the Zeppelin Museum. It is dedicated to the Zeppelins that were manufactured here prior to 1940. The number of actual Zeppelin pieces is limited and the largest part of the exhibition is photos and panels explaining the development of the Zeppelins. A major attraction is a huge, 108-foot reconstructed piece of the famous Hindenburg. It shows how grand and comfortable traveling in these marvels was. The top floor of the building has an art exhibition. The café is furnished in spacious Zeppelin retro-style and has a pleasant terrace with views of the harbor.
