Adjacent is the magnificent Rococo Kurfürsteliche Palais (Electoral Palace). The north and east wings are the older parts and date from 1615, but the south wing, which was remodeled in 1756 by Johannes Seiz with sculptures crafted by Ferdinand Tietz, is the real highlight. Unfortunately, the Palace is used as administrative offices and not generally open to the public. The exterior of the south wing can be admired from the lovely Baroque palace gardens.
